The Joy of Walking

Evening walks entertainment. Wanted to see the goats so went for the longer walk. There they are with the Shepard at the top of the hill.

Walking around the block brought me to some more beauty. Talked with one of our newer neighbors children. Children just love dogs so it’s an easy conversation.

As we neared home I saw this on a tree.

The flowers are so beautiful and in the breeze they appear to vibrate softly. It’s good to remember that beauty is everywhere if only I take the time to look for it.

DH had to go into the store to pickup a prescription so it was an opportunity for him to pick up a few things that weren’t available on our last order. Found some small Turkey thighs and some Turkey sausages. We eat a lot of chicken for health reasons but it can get boring after a while. Turkey is a very nice change since we both like it. I cook it over indirect heat on the BBQ to avoid heating the house this time of year. He also got some Wild salmon. Don’t know what I’ll make with it but it will be a treat.

Tomorrow will be a busy day. It’s dog washing day for Dusty and DDs dog Henry. They are cooperative and look forward to chasing balls when they are done. I look forward to it because we get to visit with DD.

  1. Nice photos! Are the fluffy flowers a gum or eucalyptus?

Hope Dog Washing Day went well! Cayenne is fine with baths as long as the water is nice and warm. She’s clearly related to me! (I like hot showers too. 😉)

  3. That's a beautiful walking area. And what a lovely family activity... well, since the dogs look forward to a fun reward after and cooperate, that is. Bet it provides a laugh or two, as well.
